Leptogium rogersii Verdon
     
  Mycotaxon 37: 424 (1990)
T: c. 2 km WSW of Mt Wilson, Blue Mtns, R.W.Rogers s.n. (D.Verdon 5655); hol: CANB.
 
     
  Thallus ±subsquamulose, ±closely adnate, c. 1–3 cm wide, 35–80 µm thick, dull grey. Lobes rotund to narrowly rotund, 0.3–1.5 mm wide, ±concave, mostly appressed; margins ±ascending, slightly undulate, entire or sparsely lobulate; surfaces smooth or roughened, matt, isidia absent. Lower surface naked or with inconspicuous bundles of rhizines. Apothecia laminal, ±broadly adnate, attached to thallus by hairs, 0.5–1.3 mm wide; disc concave to flat at maturity, very pale yellow; thalline exciple moderately thin to very thin at maturity, concolorous with thallus. Ascospores ellipsoidal, muriform when mature, 22–34 × 9–1 µm; apices obtuse. Pycnidia not seen.
     
  An uncommon endemic species known from the Blue Mtns, N.S.W., and near Kingston, Tas. Grows on rock and soil.
